For the second consecutive semester, the Bradley men’s basketball team has combined for a program-record semester grade point average.

The BU athletics department has records for student-athlete semester GPAs going back to 1986. The marks recorded by the men’s basketball team’s 16 rostered players are the program’s best over the last 44 semester grading periods.

Final semester grades for the entire athletics department and the Bradley Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the spring semester will be announced later.

"As a group, they have dedicated themselves to their studies, and they have been rewarded with another great semester," coach Jim Les of his team in a news release.

"I also want to commend our tremendous faculty and staff for recognizing the commitment these young men have made to represent Bradley University on a daily basis. In particular, Neci Charleston, Heather Moles, the entire academic support staff and our coaching staff all have done a tremendous job of working with our players and stressing the importance of excelling academically."
