PEORIA —

Taylor Brown’s off-the-court troubles at Bradley continued with another game suspension Saturday, this time for inappropriate tweets on his Twitter account.

The 6-foot-6 sophomore forward, Bradley’s top rebounder and second-leading scorer, sat in street clothes and watched the Braves’ 76-60 victory over Drexel in Saturday night’s BracketBusters contest at Carver Arena.

It marked Brown’s third suspension this season, resulting in four missed games. All have been for different team-rule violations.

“Taylor was very disappointed, remorseful and apologetic to his teammates and coaching staff,” said BU coach Jim Les. “We appreciate that and expect better decisions moving forward.”

Brown also has apologized to the faculty member who he photographed with his cell phone during art history class. Brown posted the photo to his account accompanied by a lecherous caption.

Twitter is a social networking service in which short messages and sometimes photos are posted to an individual’s account for all Internet users to see.

Les said that Brown’s Twitter account has now been deactivated.

When asked if Brown’s suspension is over, Les replied, “No comment.”

The Bradley coach has not discussed player availability for games this season for any reason.

“There’s no one, me included, above this program and this team,” Les said. “If a guy steps in a wayward direction, he’s not out of the family. But some choices have consequences. I’m really pleased with the way the rest of the team responded to it.”
