No decision was made Monday regarding the Bradley Braves’ interest in playing in either the Collegiate Basketball Invitational or the CollegeInsider.com tournament next week.
“We had a brief discussion and are going to reconvene later this week,” BU athletics director Michael Cross said in a text message.
The short meeting took place between Cross and BU coach Jim Les.
BU spokesman Shelley Epstein said there was no scheduled meeting Monday between those two and BU President Joanne Glasser.
Bradley has not yet received an invitation from the officials of either tournament.
Both 16-team tournaments will reveal their pairings Sunday night following the announcement of the NCAA brackets. First-round action for both events takes place next Tuesday and Wednesday with the second round set for Monday, March 22.
Peoria Civic Center spokesman Marc Burnett said Monday that open dates are being held at Carver Arena for at least the first two rounds of the tournaments.
