Bradley report card vs. Western Carolina

Frontcourt — B

Taylor Brown was impressive offensively (18 points), but managed just 3 rebounds. Will Egolf (4 points, 6 rebounds) couldn’t get untracked offensively. Anthony Thompson (5 points, 4 rebounds) was productive in his 13 minutes.

Backcourt — C

A poor offensive night for the guards, who were just 9-for-34 from the field. Perimeter defense was shoddy too many times.

Bench — B

Dyricus Simms-Edwards (8 points, 4 rebounds) and Thompson gave the team a good lift. Simms-Edwards (21 minutes) is becoming a more important part of this team every game.

Overall — C+

Some good moments against a solid team. BU took good care of the ball (9 turnovers) and competed. But good teams usually hold 10-point leads at home down the stretch. Blame the defense, blame the free-throw shooting. The Braves now have eight days to think about it, take their finals and then get their groove back.
