‘Peoria’ is planning to play in Peoria

Bradley junior guard Sam Maniscalco on Tuesday was named second-team all-District 16 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

District 16 consists of the 10 Missouri Valley Conference schools.

First-team honors went to Jordan Eglseder and Adam Koch of Northern Iowa, Osiris Eldridge of Illinois State, Clevin Hannah of Wichita State and Josh Young of Drake. Maniscalco was joined on the second team by Dinma Odiakosa of ISU, Kwadzo Ahelegbe of UNI, Kenny Lawson of Creighton and Kyle Weems of Missouri State.

The district teams, voted strictly by NABC member coaches, differed slightly from the all-MVC teams chosen by league coaches, sports information directors, beat reporters and radio play-by-play announcers.

Eglseder was second-team and Odiakosa first-team all-MVC. Indiana State's Henry Marshall was second-team all-conference and Ahelegbe was honorable mention.
